Responsibilities

The Following actions & procedures will be taken in case of emergency situations;

  • Assess the emergency
  • Emergency personnel will be contacted
  • Staff emergency contact person will be called
  • Director will use own discretion or emergency

We will have family events in which all our families are encouraged and welcome to join. We will also have parent participation opportunities in which parents can volunteer to help set up for special events/ classrooms, lead an activity or be a guest reader. Parents will be notified of Parent Participation opportunities via Newsletter or email.

• A Child Size Backpack to carry all Daily Essentials
• Wipes, Diapers, Pull Ups and/or Big Kid Undies
• Outerwear (Sweater/Jacket/Windbreaker/Hoodie)
• Play Clothes /Change of Clothes (shirt, pants, undergarments, socks) to remain at the center for emergencies or accidents. (according to season)
• Crib Size Sheet and Blanket for rest time. Must be taken home at the end of the week to be cleaned and brought back for the following week.
• Parents must provide special dietary food and a Can of formula for infants.
• Parents must provide Morning Snack

Golden Child Development Center provides Transportation via Third Party Services. If you are interested in Transportation accommodations please speak with administration for further details.

• Before admission all registration forms & paperwork must be completed and signed by parent or guardian before enrolling. (Application, Emergency Medical Care, Medical Form, Immunization, Documentation of Discipline Policy, Receipt of Center Operation and Summary of Child Care Law, Authorization for Transportation, Off Premise Activities Authorization)
• Medical forms must also be completed and signed by both parent/guardian & licensed physicians.
• Immunizations must be up to date.
• Golden Child Development Center has an open door policy that we are proud of: We accept and admit Children of any race, color, ethnic, and national background.
• NO CHILD WILL BE ADMITTED WITHOUT SUBMITTING THE REQUIRED PAPERWORK OR HAVING THEIR IMMUNIZATION’S COMPLETELY UP TO DATE ( THIS IS FOR THE WELL BEING OF ALL PARTIES INVOLVED.)
• If documents are not completed and submitted by the specified deadline listed in the Application Packet Checklist, your child must be excluded and Golden Child Development Center is unable to provide services.

  •  GCDC will follow Wake County School Schedule in most cases.
  • Families will be notified if changes occurred outside of Wake County School Schedule.

We take great pride in our cleanliness . We believe it is important to have a safe and clean environment for staff and children.
THEREFORE WE:
• Clean Windows Weekly
• Wash & Clean knobs and handles as well as counters daily
• Sweep three times daily
• Vacuum daily
• Clean Bathrooms daily.
• Weekly Professionally
• Have an overall complete center clean up twice monthly

  • The safety of every child is of utmost concern.GCDC strives to maintain safety standards at all times.
    • Equipment and materials are inspected on a regular basis.
    • All staff members are trained in First Aid and Adult/ Child CPR. Should an accident occur every precaution will be taken.
    • All accidents will be documented on an Accident/Incident Report Form which will be read and signed by the parent at the end of the day.
    • If an accident is more than minor, a parent will be contacted and requested to come immediately.
